Teaching Through

Whether it be through a tyre, hoop, hoola hoop, or your arms, it is all basically the same. The trick is to encourage your dog through the "hole", normally this works by holding a treat in front with one hand and when your dog goes to sniff it, pull it through and your dog should follow, at this point a quick click on the clicker and a treat, keep repeating until your dog gets the hang of it.

In the case if getting your dog through your arms you would find to do it that way, you would need at least three hands, which none of us have, so we have to do it slightly different.
Get your dog to stay, put a treat on the ground and stand between it and your dog, get on your knees and make a loop with your arms that touches the floor, but make sure you are right infront of the treat and be on your toes, if your dog wants to go round you will either need to stop him or move the treat. I personally find the best place to hold the clicker for this is in your hands whilst they are claseped together.
